Local Man Teams Up With The Rainbow Connection to Grant 15 Wishes
[Rochester, Michigan, January 9, 2020] – The wishes of 15 Michigan children will be granted thanks to a generous donation made to The Rainbow Connection (TRC) by Mr. Tim Easterwood and his family.
Mr. Easterwood visited The Rainbow Connection headquarters in Rochester, Michigan to present the staff with a donation of $100,000. Those dollars will go directly to sponsoring the wishes of 15 Michigan children who have been diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions.
For Tim Easterwood, a father of five, charities that focus on helping children with health issues have always spoken to him. The Rainbow Connection’s mission, in particular, hit close to home after having dealt with two children of his own battling life-threatening medical conditions. He learned first-hand the hardships parents and families go through – the feeling of helplessness and uncertainty.
Tim’s ultimate goal, besides his generous financial support, is to spread awareness of the important work The Rainbow Connection does for Michigan children. His hope is others will follow his lead in seeing the benefit of sponsoring wishes for these brave kids.
“Mr. Easterwood has supported our mission for several years and his generosity continues to amaze us. With the help of individuals like Tim, we are able to live up to our promise that no child in need of a wish will ever be turned away or made to wait,” shares TRC Executive Director, George Miller.
The Rainbow Connection is a 501(c)3 Michigan non-profit dedicated to fulfilling the wishes of children battling life-threatening medical conditions. Since 1985, The Rainbow Connection has granted over 3600 wishes to brave children right here in our community. Granting wishes is a way of providing families the opportunity to share a positive experience together, making lasting memories along the way and providing hope for a brighter future.
